The Journey Starts Here: Why I Believe Movement Is Life
Welcome to my first blog post. If you’ve found your way here, you’re probably curious about what I’m building, I’m building it, and how you might fit into the picture. So let’s start with the foundation of everything I do:movement.
Movement Is Life
If you’re not moving, you’re dying. It’s that simple.
Movement is more than just getting from Point A to Point B. It’s a mindset, a philosophy, and the backbone of growth. In business, in relationships, and in life, movement keeps us alive and evolving. Stagnation? That’s the real enemy. It’s the killer of progress, creativity, and connection.
For me, movement isn’t just physical—though I’ve literally walked for 24 hours straight. It’s about financial movement, like circulating dollars within a community instead of funneling them to faceless corporations. It’s about social movement, like connecting people who care about building something bigger than themselves. And it’s about emotional movement, like challenging yourself to grow, adapt, and keep pushing forward, even when it’s uncomfortable.
When you embrace movement as a way of life, you stop being afraid of change and start seeking it. Movement is what drives innovation. It’s what fuels relationships. It’s what keeps us alive, in every sense of the word.
How It All Started
I didn’t grow up with money or a roadmap to success. What I had were relationships. My first business wasn’t built on capital; it was built on trust. People believed in what I was doing because I believed in it, and that belief was contagious. It moved people.
Starting out, I learned quickly that the traditional paths to success weren’t built for people like me. I didn’t have a trust fund, a safety net, or even a solid plan. What I did have was grit, creativity, and the willingness to move forward even when I didn’t know what was ahead. I learned to turn obstacles into opportunities, to use relationships as the currency that mattered most, and to keep moving no matter how hard things got.
That’s why I believe in movement. It’s not just about achieving goals—it’s about the process of becoming, of growing, of evolving. Every step you take moves you closer to something bigger than yourself.
What I’m Building
I’m working on projects like the MOVE. Community, which is more than just an idea—it’s a movement. It’s about creating an ecosystem where people can thrive without relying on outdated systems that weren’t built for us to win. It’s about redefining capitalism into something I callJoint Capitalism: a model that prioritizes community, ownership, and reinvestment.
Joint Capitalism is rooted in the idea that we don’t need billionaires to save us. We need each other. By reinvesting profits into the community and building systems that empower people rather than exploit them, we can create a future where everyone has a stake in success.
From building spaces where people can connect, like JBs Clubhouse, to fostering local entrepreneurship through the MOVE. Makers Expo, everything I’m working on is tied to one idea:keep moving forward. This isn’t just about business—it’s about building a better way of life, one step at a time.
Key Takeaways
Movement is life.It fuels growth, connection, and progress in every aspect of living.
Relationships are the foundation.Trust and belief move mountains, not money.
Building systems that empower.Joint Capitalism is about reinvestment and thriving communities.
Change starts with one step.Whether it’s personal growth or systemic transformation, it all begins with movement.
Why This Matters
I’m not here to sell you a dream. I’m here to show you what’s possible when people stop chasing someone else’s version of success and start building their own. Movement is contagious. When one person moves, others follow. That’s how communities grow. That’s how change happens.
Think about the systems we live in today—corporate America, traditional finance, outdated education. They’re all built to keep people stagnant, to funnel wealth and power upward, and to keep the majority struggling just to get by. Movement disrupts that. It challenges the status quo. It creates space for new ideas, new systems, and new possibilities.
If we want to create a better world, we have to start moving. That means challenging old systems, supporting one another, and refusing to stay still when things get tough. It means taking ownership of our futures and building something real, together.
